About The Role As a Senior Educator, you'll work as part of a supportive and collaborative team to deliver high-quality, inclusive early childhood education and care. You'll plan and implement an approved learning framework, create engaging learning experiences, build meaningful relationships with children and families, embrace diverse needs, and contribute to a welcoming centre conveniently located just minutes from the Metro and Redfern railway station. This will include: Plan, implement and evaluate engaging, high-quality early learning programs that reflect each child's strengths, interests and individual needs Deliver an inclusive educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) Observe, document and assess children's learning and development to support positive outcomes and ongoing program planning Create a safe, stimulating and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports all areas of children's growth and wellbeing Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and child-safe practices About You: You will have experience and skills in the following: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an early childhood education setting Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid qualification Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs Child protection training and commitment to child safety Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration What is on offer: Above award pay and conditions (plus WRP) Discounted childcare fees & priority placement for your children Rostered day off per month (full-time staff) Generous leave entitlements, including 12 days personal / carer’s leave Professional training and development to support you to continue to learn and grow Employee Assistance Program Other benefits can be seen here: Why work for SDN?
