QUALIFICATIONS

MEDI 1510 Basic Safety.
MEDI 1810 Proficiency in Survival Craft.
Restricted Radio Telephone Operator Certificate.
Must be in good health and able-bodied. Successful applicant must pass a Seafarer’s Medical Examination.
Certificates of Competency such as Bridge Watchman, Chief Mate 500 (Domestic) or higher are preferred.

Responsibilities

Is responsible for the safety and security of SeaBus passengers. Checks the terminal as per the terminal check sheet, maintains accurate logs, checks tickets, monitors ticket machines and ensures all areas of the terminal are clean. Operates doors on both ferries, terminals and ramps, ensures proper loading and unloading of passengers, enforces all applicable regulations in passenger area and maintains the interior of the ferries in a neat and orderly condition. Also required to perform maintenance work, i.e. power-washing, clean-up of grounds and structures, etc. and other related duties as assigned.
