Description The Seafood Packer/Utility worker is responsible for picking and staging orders for customer delivery while maintaining the Seafood area of warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion and assisting the Fish Cutters. This person is also responsible for accurately entering information into the computer. Duties and Responsibilities Accurately identify seafood product and build orders to customers specifications Ensure all labels are clear and readable and have the country of origin on them Maintain SQF standards in the warehouse and keep track of all damaged inventory and report the same to the supervisor Maintain quality service by following organization standards Sanitize cutting boards and knives Inspect all equipment, including tools, pin bone machine, scales and hoses on a daily basis Properly clean and maintain the seafood areas in accordance with G.M.P’s and SQF standards Stage seafood orders for shipping - pull items and place orders in delivery area Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintain clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations Entering data into our Target database system. Requirements Qualifications Basic computer skills. Working knowledge of Excel is a plus! Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked Possess basic math and reasoning skills Ability to understand and execute instructions Ability to operate inventory control equipment (i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices) Must have experience using ride on pallet jacks. Experience with reach trucks, and cherry pickers a plus.
