Job Introduction

Our Seafront Service is responsible for the management and development of our beautiful world-renowned coastline, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, effective and committed officer to join our Seafront Operations Team.

Working directly with the Seafront Senior Maintenance Ranger, you would be responsible for managing the day-to-day admin of the Seafront Maintenance Team as well as leading on procurement processes and managing small scale projects. Whilst not an exhaustive list, the focus of this role will be related to:

  • Managing purchase orders and invoicing
  • Logging maintenance jobs and allocating them to operatives.
  • Responding to customers queries and complaints
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers
  • Working with the Procurement Team to deliver tenders and ensure compliance with financial regulations

This is a unique opportunity requiring a special individual who enjoys working in a mutually supportive and collaborative team environment but also can work well on their own initiative.

Candidates must have:

  • experience of working in a large-scale seasonal environment.
  • experience of working in an admin based environment
  • experience of procurement and financial regulation processes
  • experience of managing small scale projects
  • experience of handling customer communications and complaints
  • experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams

You must have a positive and flexible outlook, be highly motivated, can learn quickly with a desire to develop and are passionate about delivering excellent services.

You would be expected to work 5 in 7 days and may include weekends and bank holidays. No holidays are to be taken in July & August. This is a role that is office based.
