Nau mai haere mai ki tā mātou whānau | Welcome to our Fulton Hogan Family We are looking for an experienced Chipseal Supervisor who will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery of chip sealing and reseal works across Auckland’s road network. The role leads day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring works are completed in accordance with contract requirements, specifications, programmes, and health and safety standards, while minimising disruption to the public In addition to the above you will: • Supervise day‑to‑day sealing operations, coordinating sprayers, spreaders, rollers, crews, and traffic management to deliver safe, compliant, and high‑quality outcomes. • Apply strong working knowledge of chipseal construction methods, binder and chip application principles, and weather‑dependent decision making to protect seal quality. • Conduct visual inspections of chip stockpiles and materials, ensuring correct binder and chip sampling and identifying quality or compliance issues in real time. • Complete daily site records, diaries, and basic quality and production documentation accurately and on time. • Lead, motivate, and coordinate crews, allocating resources to meet daily production targets while supervising subcontractor performance and workmanship standards. • Maintain strong communication with managers, planners, traffic management, clients, and the public, ensuring issues and progress are clearly conveyed. • Make confident, timely decisions under pressure, particularly in changing site or weather conditions, to maintain programme integrity and seal quality. We’re looking for someone with: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in chip sealing or spray sealing operations within the New Zealand roading environment Proven experience supervising civil construction crews on live road networks Hands‑on experience with chipseal plant and processes, including sprayers, chip spreaders, rollers, and support vehicles Experience working to NZTA and/or Auckland Transport specifications, standards, and quality requirements Demonstrated experience delivering works safely in high‑traffic environments Hold a Class 1 2,4,5 License and WTR Endorsement Must hold a Dangerous Goods Licence Creating, Connecting and caring for the community Our people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities.
