Tailor/Seamstress – FULL TIME Seamstress – On Base (Fort Liberty, NC) Starting Rate: $17.75/hour Come and join a FUN sales team with US Patriot! As a Tailor/Seamstress (Production Associate) at US Patriot/Galls you will be hands-on altering and providing exceptional customer service to our soldiers and airmen. You will ensure all measurements and fittings are done properly, accurately, and efficiently – so that they can wear that uniform proudly. At US Patriot, we are P.R.O.U.D. to Serve, and it all starts on our Production and Value-Added Service Team. WHAT YOU WILL DO * Read and accurately identify the customer’s needs per the Work Instruction Document * Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations with ability to problem solve individual sizing issues * Perform uniform sewing, alternations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping, and applying patches * Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines * Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs WHAT YOU WILL BRING * High school diploma or GED equivalent required * Previous experience in Alterations preferred. Galls will train! * Well-versed on industrial Sewing machines preferred.
