SEASONAL RIVER DISTRICT HOST HIRING RANGE: $21.00 PER HOUR About the Position: The River District spans from Riverside Park to Eagle Rim Park. Amenities in this district include park shelters, playgrounds, a splash park, bicycle park, a disc golf course, the Amphitheater, the River Park, the Butterfly Pond, and a boat ramp. The focus of the River District Host is the basic daily operation of the splash park. When not attending to the splash park, this person is an ambassador of the River Park and keeps the River District clean and safe with trash removal. What You’ll Do: Turn the Splash Park on and off daily Do chemical tests of the Splash Park to ensure it is safe to operate Monitor the operation of the Splash Park and notify the appropriate staff if issues arise Monitor the usage of the Splash Park Monitor trash and replace bags as needed along the whole River District Monitor restrooms in the River District; restock supplies if needed, address issues if they arise Monitor the River Park; give information and rules to users Perform related work as required This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.
