SEASONAL STREETS MAINTENANCE WORKER HIRING RANGE: $18.50 PER HOUR *Starting pay for a candidate with a CDL is $19.00 per hour* About the Position: Street Maintenance Workers complete routine maintenance projects, including road repairs, chip sealing, sidewalk maintenance, light construction, and concrete work; perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. What You’ll Do: Participate in the construction, repair, and maintenance of roads, irrigation, and stormwater systems! Clean and seal cracks Rake, shovel and distribute materials necessary for the completion of jobs. Operate dump trucks and small equipment as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed. What We’re Looking For: Must be 18+ years of age. Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and, if required for the specific position, a physical examination. Ability to work in all types of weather, including high temperatures in direct sunlight while standing, walking, and/or kneeling. Ability to go from one task to another efficiently. A team-oriented approach to work. Consistent positive attitude and willingness to complete all types of tasks. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, and have the ability to do basic arithmetic. A valid driver's license. Possession of a Class “B” Commercial Driver License (CDL) is preferred but not required.
