Description Assistant Tennis Professional Position Type: Seasonal Reports To: Head Tennis Professional and Director of Aquatics, Tennis, and Youth Season: May–August Position Overview Sand Point Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and experienced tennis coach to lead and support our junior tennis programs. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about youth development, high-quality instruction, and contributing to a collaborative tennis staff within a private country club setting. In addition to overseeing junior programming, the Assistant Tennis Professional will work closely with the Head Tennis Professional and other tennis staff to maintain the club’s high standards of instruction, service, and professionalism, and will assist with adult lessons and events as needed. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and conduct junior tennis programs, including clinics, camps, lessons, and team practices Instruct junior players of varying ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for junior members Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game Assist with adult clinics, lessons, and events as needed Collaborate with the Head Tennis Professional and tennis staff to maintain high instructional and service standards Assist with setup, organization, and tournament draw for the Adult Tennis Tournament (July 23–27), and the Junior Tournament on August 7 Communicate effectively with parents, players, and fellow staff members Ensure proper use and care of courts, equipment, and facilities Represent Sand Point Country Club in a professional and welcoming manner at all times Requirements Qualifications Prior experience coaching junior tennis players required Teaching certification (RSPA, PTR, USTA) required Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends based on program needs Competitive playing background preferred Ability to demonstrate tennis techniques and drills Ability to remain active outdoors for extended periods Ability to lift and transport tennis equipment as needed
