Description Remedy Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Billing & Patient Accounts Support Specialist to assist our team during our busiest time of year. This seasonal role supports increased billing and patient account activity following annual insurance deductible resets and offers strong potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and organizational needs. Position Summary This role provides hands-on support to our billing and administrative teams by assisting with insurance-related patient balances, payment coordination, account follow-ups, and patient communication. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable having financial conversations, and able to manage a high volume of detail-oriented work in a healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient account follow-up related to insurance deductibles and balances Support insurance claim tracking and documentation Communicate with patients regarding billing questions, statements, and payment options Assist with posting payments and reconciling account activity Coordinate with internal billing, intake, and administrative teams Maintain accurate documentation and comply with HIPAA standards Provide general administrative and billing support as needed during peak season Requirements Qualifications Prior experience in medical billing, patient accounts, healthcare administration, or related office support preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional communication skills (written and verbal) Comfort discussing financial responsibility with patients Ability to work independently and manage deadlines HIPAA awareness required Schedule & Compensation Full-time hours during January–April Compensation based on experience Potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role following the seasonal period Why Remedy?
