Status: Full Time Job Purpose: The Cafe Attendant assists the kitchen and retail staff with maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, stocking and organization of the chalet cafeteria and surrounding work areas. This position is a point of sales position but requires multi-tasking and knowledge of the kitchen, dry storage, walk-in cooler and freezer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Honor Commitments: Cleaning and organizing daily to keep a professional appearance. Assist with Point of Sale, inventories, and displays. Process guests' orders through the use of a point of sale system Create Positive Experiences: Give accurate and current information about the food available, prices and where to find useful information. Assist with providing a safe and positive experience for both guests and staff. Foster Lifelong Learning: Must learn basic knowledge of Marquette Mountain's operations and points of interest (ski patrol, retail, rentals, etc.) Exhibit Pioneering Spirit: Communicate with the kitchen staff about the needs of the guests and stocking products. Demonstrate Good Stewardship: Assist the Head Chef with overseeing cleanliness, stocking, and maintaining the Chalet and work areas. Other Duties as Assigned: Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness in meeting business objectives. Must be professional, courteous and exercise tact and diplomacy when dealing with the Members and guests Ability to prioritize and multitask, managing multiple projects, and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast past environment with tight deadlines and shifting needs Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and collaboration skills A reliable individual who can work independently but also as part of a team, committed to customer service Attention to detail and accuracy.
