The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at The Ohio State University is a dynamic and exciting place to work. This position offers an opportunity to strategically impact the future of Ohio State through the recruitment, admission, and support of outstanding students as the Outreach and Recruitment team is responsible for recruiting prospective students to The Ohio State University. The seasonal admissions counselor reports to the program coordinator of Outreach and Recruitment. The individual will be located in the Student Academic Services Building and will work closely and alongside a team of full-time staff members of approximately 30 and a broader Undergraduate Admissions team of 55. This is a seasonal position from September 22 , 2025 – April 18, 2026 and will work 20 hours each week. In office work hours can range from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, but may require morning, evening, and weekend hours at various times given the role’s direct work with outreach and recruitment programs.
Detailed Position Description
As a member of the Undergraduate Admissions team the seasonal campus visits specialist will spend the greatest amount of time through the term performing the following job responsibilities; Learns and uses the CRM (Salesforce, Blackthorn) and other technologies to perform timely and accurate entries into databases regarding student information, call/email activity and other processes, performs data validation and manages electronic work-flows; assists in managing the visit registration system; assists as the point of contact for campus group visit requests; assists in coordinating and planning logistics for campus group visits including space, tour, presentation, and parking needs; Researches and resolves problems; assists with inventory management of the Undergraduate Admissions Welcome Center; Learns and maintains knowledge of the areas within the office and university to best direct questions from staff and guests; Creates a welcoming campus experience for prospective students, guests, and visitors.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assists with on campus recruitment events and projects; provides support to Undergraduate Admissions Student Assistant staff; review applications (domestic, international, transfer, special population) and makes admission recommendations through our holistic application review process actual time commitment will fluctuate through the term; assists with ADA accommodations requests for prospective students and guests; completes special assignments and other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience. Strong attention to detail. Experience with various office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desired Qualifications:
1 - 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
The pay range for this job profile: $17.50 – $22.86. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
