Description POSITION SUMMARY The truck driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work, driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of the Transportation Department. you will be responsible for delivering propane/fuel to our customers in a safe and timely manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Operate and maintain a delivery truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) Loads, secures, transports, delivers and unloads propane/fuel from specified destinations Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in a safe manner Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions Communicate effectively with customers and team members Adhere to all traffic laws and all DOT regulations, and company policies Perform routine maintenance on the delivery truck Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Valid CDL Class B driver's license with Hazmat and tank endorsements Clean driving record Ability to operate a delivery truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds GVW Strong Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
