Description
A 30m performance sailing yacht is seeking a Chef to join an active, fun and private program. This is a program with a relaxed but high-standard approach, typically catering for 3–6 guests and 4 crew. The yacht is based in Palma, with the season running from April through to the end of September. From now until end of June it will mainly be weekend sailing around the Balearics. After that cruising in Sardinia, Italy and Sicily, as well as the Les Voiles de St Tropez regatta. The style of food is fresh, flavourful and ingredient-led, with a focus on Mediterranean, Italian and lighter Thai influences. The owners enjoy Ottolenghi-style cooking—vibrant, healthy and well-balanced dishes. This is not a fine dining program, but quality and consistency are key. The ideal candidate will be organised, confident running the galley independently, and able to adapt. A bubbly, positive personality is important to the owner. This is not a live-aboard position when the yacht is in Mallorca, so candidates based there already or able to accommodate themselves ashore are preferred for the period when the yacht is here. they are also open to renting a flat for the right candidate. If on the island they would like to do a trial at their house on the island prior to joining, and for the right candidate, the role could develop into a full-time position, doing some lighter cooking at the house during the winter months. Qualifications required: Previous sail yacht experience - minimum 1 season on a similar sized yacht, focus on fresh and healthy cuisine Itinerary: Balearics mainly, Med cruising, 1 regatta Male/female: Open to both Startdate and joining location: Palma, ASAP
Responsibilities
