Positions range from permanent clinical float roles (Full time or Part Time) to Seasonal 13-week assignments with significantly higher base pay. The CT Technologist II provides outstanding customer service to patients, providers and clinical teams with the primary task of operating imaging equipment to acquire quality diagnostic images as ordered by the physician. In addition to adhering to the Mission and Vision Statement of Tampa General Hospital Crystal River, the following job duties are performed: · Presents a professional, welcoming, supportive, and calm demeanor during all aspects of interactions with patients · Maintains a working knowledge and operation of CT & X-ray equipment and imaging protocols. Positions patient, operates equipment manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality images for interpretation · Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patients conditions and ensuring completion of imaging exams · Completes all required documentation required for imaging being performed · Applies the principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self and others · Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation and patient identification ensuring all relative anatomy is demonstrated. · Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without the use of power injectors · Maintains work area in a constant state of readiness · Follows all facility policies, procedures and protocols · Performs other various tasks as directed related to diagnostic imaging. Minimum Education: Technical training / certificate or A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology or related field. Experience: Current / recent experience performing diagnostic imaging; ARRT CT Registry required within first 12 months of hire. Licensure / Certificates: Current State of Florida licensure for General Radiography Current registry with ARRT for Radiography BLS
