OVERVIEW

South Texans’ Property Rights Association (STPRA) is seeking a motivated, relationship-focused individual to join our team as a Seasonal Fundraising & Event Support Contractor. This seasonal role is vital to the success of our 20th Annual Fundraiser taking place October 9, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies that align with our mission. This position requires a strong background in relationship management, strategic planning, and effective communication to engage donors and secure funding for our initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in fundraising, sponsorship and donation procurement, and/or nonprofit event.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with databases such as NeonCRM or similar software is desirable.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, relationship management, and writing are essential.
  • Excellent research abilities to identify potential funding sources and understand donor motivations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a focus on customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work closely with STPRA’s Assistant Director to secure sponsorships, engage donors, collect auction items, and support event logistics. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to raise critical funds that fuel our mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors, sponsors, and community partners through effective communication and engagement.
  • Secure auction items, in-kind donations, and high-value sponsorships.
  • Assist with event planning, vendor coordination, and auction organization
  • Utilize databases and CRM software to track donor interactions, contributions, and engagement metrics.
  • Conduct research to identify potential funding opportunities and assess donor interests.
  • Collaborate with Membership Director to create compelling fundraising campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
  • Support marketing and outreach efforts to promote the event.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring they feel valued and informed about the impact of their contributions.
  • Represent the organization at public relations events, networking opportunities, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Be present and actively assist during the October 9 fundraiser in Corpus Christi.
