Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Dukes Golf Course plays host to an outstanding 5* Championship Golf Course, situated on the edge of St Andrews. The club has an excellent reputation with a range of facilities on offer to its members and guests. We are looking for Seasonal Greenkeepers to support with the maintenance and development of our Dukes Golf Course and the surrounding estate during our high season between April 2024 and October 2024.

situated on the edge of St Andrews. The club has an excellent reputation with a
range of facilities on offer to its members and guests. We have a new
opportunity for an Assistant Greenkeeper to join our team to support with the
maintenance and development of the golf course, its facilities and surrounding
estate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities:
- To maintain the course, practice facilities and surrounding estate to the standards defined in the course maintenance & development plan by carrying out the weekly work programmes set by the Head Green keeper.

To follow the safe working practices implemented by
senior team members ensuring the safety of all golfers, staff, and contractors.
Key tasks:
- To implement daily work programmes as devised and instructed by the Head Greenkeeper.
- To assist in daily course set up, including - divotting, raking bunkers, changing holes, blowing, strimming, weeding, and mowing playing surfaces.
- To ensure personal protective equipment and uniforms are maintained to the standard required.
- To regularly assess play and traffic areas on the course; pedestrian and vehicle access routes and reporting any areas of concern.
Qualifications:
- NVQ level 2 (or working towards) preferred but not essential.
Personal:
- Able to communicate with all team members.
- Prepared to work anti-social hours.
- Good personal presentation.
