SEASONAL GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE

Location: Various sites within Folkestone & Hythe District

  • Pay & Hours: £13.14 per hour. 37 hours per week

Monday - Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Friday: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our client’s team! You’ll be responsible for maintaining parks, open spaces, cemeteries, and housing areas, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and well-kept at all times.
The ideal candidate will have a full driving licence and some experience in grounds maintenance tasks such as hedge trimming, mowing, and litter picking. You must be reliable, flexible, a standard DBS check will be carried out. Previous employment references will be obtained.
Full availability during the busy season (April to September) is essential.
Key Responsibilities
️ Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Driving and attending designated routes
Drive company vehicles as required.
️ Engage with the public in a professional and calm manner.
️ Mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, and litter picking
Machinery pre-start checks and basic maintenance
Reporting issues or concerns to the supervisor
Working flexibly to meet operational needs
Skills & Requirements
Full, clean driving licence
Experience in grounds maintenance (preferred but not essential - training provided)

️ Ability to operate maintenance equipment (training available)

  • Reliable, flexible, and available throughout the April-September peak season

Standard DBS check (or willingness to apply through us)
