OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Seasonal Housekeeper / General Assistant to join our team at Barcaldine Castle. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional service and the ability to adapt to different tasks as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.

    Job Type: Fixed term contract

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily operations within the housekeeping, ensuring high standards of service are maintained.
  • Stripping and making beds.
  • Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas of the castle to 4 / 5 star industry standards.
  • Washing, drying and pressing bed linen, towels, bathrobes in the laundry.
  • Support front-of-house activities, including greeting guests on arrival and providing information about the castle and services.
  • Manage inventory by restocking supplies and reporting any shortages to the castle manager.
  • Participate in special events or functions as needed, contributing to the overall guest experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • In addition, breakfast cooking service, working in the resident’s bar and duty manager cover on the manager’s days off.
