Description Seasonal Irrigation Inspection Technician Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Seasonal Irrigation Inspection Technician to perform recurring irrigation system inspections during the irrigation season. This entry-level role focuses on operating systems, evaluating performance, identifying deficiencies, and documenting findings and recommended corrective actions. This position supports preventative maintenance and reporting efforts and does not require advanced repair work. It is ideal for candidates interested in gaining experience in irrigation or landscape maintenance while working independently on scheduled assignments. Key Responsibilities · Operate irrigation systems and observe coverage to evaluate performance and water distribution · Inspect irrigation components to identify issues such as: o Misaligned or clogged heads o Leaks or low pressure o Overspray, dry spots, or uneven coverage · Document observations, deficiencies, and recommended corrections accurately · Record findings using mobile reporting tools (SmartSheet or similar platform) · Communicate system performance concerns and priority issues to supervisors · Follow established inspection procedures and checklists · Represent the company professionally while working on client sites Required Qualifications · Basic understanding of irrigation system operation (entry-level acceptable) · Ability to visually assess system performance and identify issues · Comfortable using mobile devices or tablets for reporting · Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy · Ability to work independently and manage scheduled assignments · Reliable and professional work ethic Preferred Qualifications · Previous experience in landscaping, irrigation, or grounds maintenance · Familiarity with SmartSheet or similar reporting tools · Interest in developing irrigation or landscape trade skills Physical Requirements · Ability to walk large outdoor sites for extended periods · Ability to kneel, bend, and inspect ground-level components · Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Equal Opportunity Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
