Job Title: Seasonal Lab Technician
Location: Hastings, NE
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible 8:00 AM start available)
Assignment Length: Beginning of October – Early January

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years lab experience preferred (not required)
• Computer skills a plus
• Must pass a 5-panel drug test
• Excellent hand-eye coordination helpful

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join a fast-paced, hands-on laboratory team as a Seasonal Lab Technician! This is a great opportunity to gain lab experience and support critical agricultural testing services during a busy season.
You’ll play a key role in keeping testing operations running smoothly by preparing samples, washing glassware, assisting with lab setup and helping move samples through quickly and accurately. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures exactly as written and a willingness to work with chemicals and lab equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Wash and organize lab glassware
• Set up and prepare testing areas
• Collect and prepare samples (soil, water, plant tissue, fertilizer, manure, compost)
• Take measurements, filter samples and record data
• Maintain sample organization and ensure accurate batch tracking
• Clean and prep lab areas for the next day
• Assist in other lab tasks as needed
• Interact with customers and consultants as part of the agricultural community
