Position Purpose Under close general direction performs semi-skilled and routine work in the processing and collection of leaf and related refuse. Essential Functions and Basic Duties * Removes leaves and related materials from city streets and city property. * Performs other manual labor as requested. * Performs related work as required. Qualifications Training and Experience * Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an equivalent GED certificate. * Possession of a valid driver’s license. Special Requirements * Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Working knowledge of the operation of trucks and other assigned pieces of equipment. * Ability to use common sense in the safe operation of small equipment in confined areas. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public.  * Exhibits the traits of sound judgment, resourcefulness, dependability, exercises mature judgment and integrity.
