Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Seasonal & Leisure Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the seasonal, leisure, and outdoor living departments within a dynamic and customer-focused garden centre. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and driving sales within the seasonal and leisure categories, including garden furniture, BBQs, Christmas ranges, and outdoor living products.
  • Leading a team to deliver outstanding customer service and ensuring high visual merchandising standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels, ordering seasonal products, and optimising availability throughout the year.
  • Training and developing staff to maximise performance and product knowledge.
  • Ensuring that the department operates efficiently and profitably.
  • Stepping up to support the Garden Centre Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the centre.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, ideally within a garden centre or similar environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to drive sales.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team.
  • Excellent organisational and stock management skills.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to work flexibly, especially during peak trading periods
