SEASONAL OPERATIVE

Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Seasonal Operative to join our Environmental team based out of our Newark Depot.
This role works 45 hours per week in summer and 25 per week in winter.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking a variety of tasks associated with seasonal works including grass cutting using rid eon mowers and strimmers, verge maintenance with tractors, weed spraying, and winter gritting activities works on site to achieve a high-quality standard, on time and to budget
  • Comply with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and procedures taking personal responsibility for own and others health and safety and welfare
  • Responsible use of all plant, equipment, vehicles and materials provided to you in the undertaking of tasks, avoiding any unnecessary damage
  • Comply with all routine daily checks of vehicles and plant are undertaken, recording to legal requirements and reporting any damages or defects found.
  • Complete all paperwork and controlled documents as requested by your line Manager including dynamic risk assessments in line with company policies and procedures
