Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join Battlefords Youth Soccer as a Part-Time Assistant. This role will initially be seasonal but has the potential to transition into a permanent part-time position based on performance and club needs. The ideal candidate should have a passion for soccer, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within our organization.
Responsibilities will vary between in-season (Indoor League October-December, Outdoor league May-June) and out of season (all remaining months).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with organizing and coordinating Battleford Youth Soccer Inc (BYSI) League soccer practices, events, tournaments, and games.
  • Support coaches in delivering practice sessions and clinics for players of various age groups in BYSI League
  • Line painting of multiple fields and upkeep of the machine
  • Help maintain equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and conducive environment for players and coaches.
  • Provide logistical support during games and events, including setup, cleanup, and coordination of volunteers.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Club Director or Board of Directors
  • Valid license or reliable transportation

Qualifications:

  • Passion for soccer and a desire to work within the sports industry.
  • Previous experience playing soccer and/or working with youth players.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during in-season soccer.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and perform physical tasks associated with setting up and maintaining soccer fields.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates for this position will be required to undergo a criminal record check/vulnerable sector as part of the application process. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of this check.
In addition to undergoing a criminal record check, candidates for this position must complete the Respect in Sport, Rule of Two, and Emergency Action Plan modules prior to their start date as a requirement for the Saskatchewan Soccer Association Safe Sport Roster. These training modules are essential for ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive experience of all participants within our soccer club
