Description Please note: This is a seasonal position which runs from mid-May until Labor Day. Purpose of Position Provide exceptional service to members and guests while helping build a vibrant, connected community at the Sandcastle Pool and Fitness Facilities. Partner with team members and island stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and high-quality operations. Responsibilities and Duties Monitor usage of the pool facility by members and guests. Greet and perform check-in procedures for all members and guests while engaging in positive interactions. Understanding your role within the Sandcastle team and working to achieve your duties to the best of your ability. Possess the knowledge to answer questions and direct members around the facility/island. Ensures the outdoor presentation and appearance is always clean, pleasing to the eye, and impeccable in its presentation. Assist with summer poolside activities, contests, and games. Enforce the rules and policies of the facility in a positive manner, supporting The Sandcastle standards and core values. Prevent injuries by minimizing hazardous situations or behaviors. Follow all company policies and procedures to the Kiawah Standards. Work efficiently in order to reduce costs. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Ability to provide quality service to a diverse property owner clientele. Ability to diagnose abnormal and emergency conditions and take positive corrective measures to ensure safety and service. Ability to interact effectively with patrons and KICA staff. Adaptable to flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings. Punctual, alert, and with a high degree of initiative and foresight. Proven patron service skills. Excellent oral and written communication ability. Computer skills to include use of point of sale software and member check-in system. Repetitive motion in dealing with computer systems, copy machines, staplers, staple removers, telephones, and any other piece of equipment relative to the job. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing or walking. Position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time in the heat and exposure to sun. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, sun exposure, and rain. Other requirements: Pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and driving record check.
