Elora Co-operative Preschool is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to assist with snow removal and general outdoor property maintenance during the fall and winter months. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• A current police background check is mandatory, as this role is on a school property.
• References required; character references are accepted.
• Must be reliable and punctual, with the ability to respond to snowfall on short notice.

• Must be flexible and responsive to unpredictable weather.
• Experience with snow removal is strongly preferred.
• Must be physically capable of lifting, shoveling, and working in cold weather conditions.
• Access to a snowblower is highly welcome, though not required. Various ergonomic shovels are available for use on-site.

• Snow Removal:
• Clear all pathways, stairs, and entry points before 8:30 AM on any weekday with snowfall.
• Shovel, chip ice, and apply salt as needed to maintain a safe and accessible preschool environment.
• Ensure the outdoor play area and walkways are completely clear of snow and ice.
• Manage and reduce snow drifts as they accumulate throughout the season.
• General Maintenance:
• Occasional light yard work such as tidying, leaf clearing, and basic upkeep of the outdoor space.
• Periodic snow drift management even on days without active snowfall.
• Qualifications
• Able to work independently and efficiently in early morning conditions.
