Description

Mitre 10 continues to dominate the NZ DIY retail market through both its market share and number of stores throughout the country - and you can be part of our continuing success by joining the team at Mitre 10 Gisborne.
This role is within our Seasonal and Showroom Department where you will be recommending products, solutions, and inspiration to our customers for a range of products from outdoor furniture, barbeques, heating equipment along with our kitchen and bathroom appliances and accessories. Your daily duties will vary from customer service, replenishing shelves, merchandising new products and much more.

For this position we are looking for someone who:

  • Has enthusiasm and team spirit
  • Enjoys interacting with people and is customer focused
  • Has a passion for customer service excellence
  • Has good time management
  • Has a quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
  • Has a willingness to learn
  • Is physically fit as there will be prolonged standing and ladder use. Some heavy lifting is also required
  • Has excellent communication skills

This is a fixed term role to cover parental leave, with a maximum of 30 hours per week, including one weekend day. Hours and days will be discussed at the interview stage.
