Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into and deemed competent to work independently. Under supervision of the Radiology Section Manager and according to established policies and procedures for various age groups of patients, performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging, vascular and Doppler Technology to assist Radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of illness. Evaluates processed sonographs to ensure that they are of acceptable quality. Assesses the age-specific needs of the patients we serve. Also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital. Education: Completion of Sonographic Imaging program from an accredited school with at least 2 years on the job training in a supervised setting within an ultrasound department. Current BLS certification required. RDMS registered. Experience: Two (2) years clinical experience/responsibility in an ultrasound department.
Responsibilities
The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound imaging, vascular, and Doppler technology under the supervision of the Radiology Section Manager to aid in diagnosis and treatment. This includes evaluating processed sonographs for acceptable quality and assessing the age-specific needs of patients.
