The Operating Room Technician or surgical technologist is that health team member specifically involved with the instrumentation and technical aspects of the operative event. Ability to work as part of a Team. Education: High School graduate, GED or 3 years relevant experience required. Graduate from a Surgical Tech program required. Experience: One year experience in surgery or prior on the job scrub experience required. Licenses/Certifications: Surgical Tech Certification required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Tech is involved with the instrumentation and technical aspects of the operative event. They work as part of a health care team to ensure excellent and compassionate patient care.
