POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking Seasonal Tax Preparers to assist our team during the 2025 tax filing season. This position involves preparing a variety of tax returns, including; individual (1040), business (1120, 1120-S, 1065), and trust/estate (1041) returns. The ideal candidate will have prior tax preparation experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently while managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years prior experience preparing tax returns required (public accounting or tax preparation office preferred)
  • Knowledge of individual & business taxation
  • Familiarity with ProSystems fx tax software preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • CPA, EA, or tax preparer credentials preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive client information
  • Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses & trusts
  • Perform bookkeeping and account reconciliations as assigned, in order to generate an accurate trial balance from which a tax return can be prepared
  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain missing information and clarify discrepancies
  • Conduct basic tax research under supervision
  • Review client-provided documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Utilize ProSystems fx tax software to prepare and review returns
  • Ensure compliance with IRS and state tax laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with accounting professionals and other team members to meet deadlines
