Description Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our pediatric practice for the upcoming vaccine season. This seasonal position will focus primarily on the administration of routine and seasonal vaccinations to children of all ages. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with pediatric patients, confident in administering vaccines, and comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: Administer routine childhood and seasonal vaccines according to office protocols and immunization schedules. Educate parents/guardians on vaccines, potential side effects, and post-vaccine care. Maintain accurate vaccine documentation and patient records in the EMR system. Ensure proper vaccine storage, handling, and inventory tracking. Assist with rooming patients, including taking vital signs. Obtain swabs (e.g., flu, strep, COVID) as needed. Provide phone support to our triage RN team as needed. Collaborate with providers and other clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care Requirements Qualifications: Current LPN license in good standing in the state of New York. Minimum of 1 year clinical experience; pediatric or vaccine experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families Proficient in Medent system and basic computer skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team Schedule & Duration: Temporary / Seasonal Start Date Estimated: September End Date: March potential opportunity for permanent placement after the season. Flexible hours within normal office operations (Monday–Friday, some Saturdays may be required).
