With a beautiful view loverlooking the D.C. skyline, WGCC is known for its tradition of excellence, warm community, and exceptional member and employee experiences. Our Fitness Center is a vibrant hub of health and wellness, and we are seeking a high-energy, engaging, and outgoing Water Aerobics Instructor to join our team for our upcoming Summer Season. The ideal candidate is confident, walk-in ready, and experienced in leading dynamic, water-based group exercise classes that cater to a variety of fitness levels. This is a high-priority role with classes currently scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM. Additional teaching opportunities may be available for candidates who are certified to instruct other group fitness formats—please include those in your application. Key Responsibilities: Lead safe, effective, and engaging water aerobics classes Provide modifications and progressions to accommodate all fitness levels Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants Arrive prepared and start classes on time Ensure proper use of equipment and pool safety protocols Build rapport with members and deliver excellent customer service Job Type: Seasonal Part-time Benefits: 401(k) Work Location: In person Requirements Group Exercise and/or Personal Training Certification (required) Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (required) Minimum of 2 years of experience in: Teaching group fitness classes (preferred) Water aerobics or aquatic fitness (preferred) Customer service (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Arlington, VA prior to start (preferred) Availability to teach early morning classes
