Description The Village of Lemont is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Seasonal -Water Meter Installation Technician to support a Village-wide water meter upgrade initiative. This is a temporary, part-time position focused on installing new water meter readers for Village residents. Position Summary This seasonal position reports to the Water Billing Supervisor within the Finance Department and works closely with the Public Works Department. The employee will be solely responsible for completing scheduled water meter reader installations throughout the Village. Training will be provided by the Water Crew Leader. During non-installation time, the employee will assist with basic water billing paperwork and administrative tasks. Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install new water meter readers at residential and/or commercial locations throughout the Village Complete installations according to Village standards and training guidelines Communicate professionally with residents during scheduled meter installations Accurately document completed installations and related information Assist the Water Billing Division with paperwork and administrative support during downtime Coordinate daily work with the Water Billing Supervisor and Public Works staff Maintain tools, materials, and a safe work environment Perform other related duties as assigned Training & Supervision Trained by the Water Crew Leader Daily installation schedules provided by the Water Billing Supervisor Works collaboratively with Public Works staff in the field Qualifications Ability to perform hands-on, field-based work Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver’s license is required Position Details Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour Hours: 20 hours per week Status: Seasonal Duration: Approximately 12–14 weeks Benefits: No benefits offered

Responsibilities
