Position Purpose: Reporting to the Learning & Engagement management team, Wildlife Educators work on a part-time basis to deliver a variety of programs for a variety of audiences of all ages, such as curriculum-based programs for elementary- and secondary-level students, virtual programs, weekend children’s or family programs, Parent & Tot, etc. Also included in this position are family and group evening and/or overnight programs, requiring staff to work evenings or sleep at the Zoo when scheduled for these particular shifts. Shift lengths vary depending on the program and are typically 3 – 8 hours long. May be scheduled up to 40 hours per week from September until the end of contract in June. This position will assist and provide support in implementing the approved Strategic Plan.
