Security team members operate with discipline and vigilance, focusing on observing, mitigating, and preventing behaviors and interactions inconsistent with our organization's values and goals. Security team members constantly maintain a visible and approachable attitude, to meet the needs of our customers and deter unwanted behaviors. The Security team member’s ability to operate both independently and in collaboration with other team members and supporting agencies strengthens our ability to respond to all emergencies, calls for service and guest inquiries. Responsibilities Shift Assigned shifts may vary from week to week depending on the needs of the organization, hours of operation, special events, etc. Safety & Emergency Response Ensure Zoombezi Bay Security team members maintain the highest level of guest and team member safety while in compliance with all departmental and state laws. Patrols grounds during open and closed hours to ensure team members and guest safety. Performs bag searches to ensure Guest Policy compliance. Assist with, locate and reunite lost children per the organization’s Emergency Response Plan (ERP). Contact the appropriate authority and tend to injured team members/guests until medical assistance arrives. Actively participant in the ERP. Guest Support & Service Assist and resolve guest concerns and questions. Reporting & Documentation Complete incident reports in a detailed, accurate and timely manner. Team Leadership & Operations Supervise all Zoombezi Bay Security Team Members. Attend daily pre/post day meetings with Security Team Members and Supervisor. Assist with training of all Zoombezi Bay Security Team Members. Complete daily assignment schedules and ensure all posts are covered by ZB Security Team Members. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education, Licensing & Training 18 years of age or older. High School diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver’s license with good driving record. CPR, first aid and AED training preferred. Communication & Service Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Able to provide excellent guest service by positively interacting with guests and upholding the guest service standards required. Professional Standards & Behavior Able to be alert to potentially abnormal conditions and react according to protocol. Able to maintain appropriate employee appearance (see uniform guidelines at each time clock and the employee handbook). Able to maintain courteous and professional behavior at all times. Able to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner. Able to successfully pass a criminal background check prior to commencing employment. Subject to Drug Free Workplace Policy. Subject to BMV check. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Able to work in varied weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat, humidity, cold, or rain). Able to stand or walk continuously for long periods of time. This position is not eligible for overtime pay.

Responsibilities

This role involves supervising all Zoombezi Bay Security Team Members, ensuring safety compliance, and managing daily operational schedules including post coverage. Responsibilities also include actively participating in emergency response plans and assisting with team member training.
