The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Independently install equipment and duck work Complete paperwork daily, and record materials used on each job, in an accurate manner Coordinate with general contractors in other trades on installing equipment and duct work Ability to layout roof curbs Ability to fabricate duct fittings and lay out job without supervision Ability to read blueprints and lay out duct Create a Material list off of blueprints Perform all jobs with safety first in mind ACCOUNTABILITIES Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through FirstCall Academy, to ensure we set the bar for skill level in the industry Elite level of customer service, to ensure we continue to be the FirstCall our customers make for their HVAC needs ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT This position reports to the local Install Manager and is responsible for engaging with the install team and all of our customers. Qualifications 3-6+ years of experience in install mechanic Valid Driver's License w/acceptable driving record OSHA 10 required Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret State Mechanical Codes Ability to frequently lift 75 pounds and ability to lift and regularly carry items weighing up to 50 pounds Sufficient physical ability to work in awkward places and from ladders or scaffolding as required by projects BEHAVIORAL PROFILE Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
