YOUR SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Prep Cook or in a similar baking role preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 25 pounds].
  • Food handler’s certification preferred.
  • Work independently and overnight with minimal instruction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, scones, and other sweet and/or savory baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Prepare fillings, frostings, and other components for pastries.
  • Assist with developing new recipes and menu items as needed.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, such as ovens, mixers, and food processors.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of all baked goods.
  • Decorate and present pastries in an appealing manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management, stocking ingredients, and replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Package and label baked goods when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
