Secondary Mathematics School Teacher

Our Girls’ Secondary School is currently looking for an exceptional Secondary Maths Teacher. This is a fixed term, part-time position till the end of the year.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Tertiary qualifications in Education (Bachelor degree or higher)
· Current VIT registration

• Planning and implementation of a curriculum of teaching programs or courses of study using a range of teaching techniques and materials
• Planning, implementing and marking a variety of assessment tasks to monitor students’ progress
• Implementation of strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
• Maintenance of records of class attendance and recording of student progress
• Liaison with students and parents
• Implementation of effective student management strategies consistent with the school’s behaviour management plan
• Attendance at regular staff and curriculum planning meetings
• Provide supervision of students during recess, as timetabled
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment and develop positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community
