Description Secondary Operator I Full time | Hourly $17.00 - $19.00 Day Shift | 6:00 am to 4:30pm (10 hour shift) M-F and occasional weekends may be needed. *We are not accepting candidates from third party agencies. About the Role: The Secondary Operator I is responsible to do a variety of functions in the department including: manually loading and unloading parts into rotating machinery, using basic math skills, and inspecting parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment. Responsibilities: Perform finishing activities with the use of grinding tools; sharpen corners or edges, buff down surfaces, polish for brighter finish. fine-tune finished piece processing with the use of knives, cutting tools, hand sanders, and other manual equipment. Maintain count of machined parts and clean, wash or tumble parts as required. Operate a grit / sand blasting machine (we will train) Follow all safety guidelines as stated by Vantedge Medical Read and understand standard operating procedure instructions (we will train) Requirements Cooperative, team-focused attitude Ability and willingness to cross-train in a variety of jobs in the Secondary Department. Mechanical aptitude Ability to manually load/unload parts into rotating machinery Basic math skills (to count parts) Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands. Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly Ability to stand/walk throughout the day for entire shift Ability to read English and follow standard operating procedure instructions Ability to read and understand blueprints (preferred) Communicate / train others when needed Ability to inspect parts through use of visual and manual inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer etc.)
