REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for the role of Secondary school cover supervisor you will:

  • Experience working as a Cover Supervisor or similar role in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different school environments.
  • A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Experience working as a Cover Supervisor or similar role in a secondary school setting.

ABOUT THE ROLE

ABC Teachers is seeking dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas. As a Cover Supervisor, you will support the smooth running of schools by delivering pre-set lesson plans and maintaining a positive classroom environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with teaching or classroom management experience looking to gain more experience in education or work on a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring that students remain on task.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Support students in their learning, responding to questions and managing behaviour effectively.
  • Report back on the progress and any issues that arise during the lesson.
