The Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) is a growing International school in Amsterdam. We are on the lookout for enthusiastic, collaborative, and knowledgeable colleagues to join our team. Due to the continued growth of our school, we have an opportunity for an experienced Secondary School Visual Arts Teacher. For suitably-qualified candidates, there may be the possibility of additional teaching work as a Theatre Teacher.
Pay scale: LB (min. €3.463 - max. €5.277, full-time per month, before tax)
Please note this is a small part-time role, currently scheduled on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
Start date: October 2025

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and a recognised teaching qualification for Secondary education.
Experience in teaching Visual Arts in MYP is preferred and experience in teaching in an international setting is desirable.

You need to be:

• an innovative and creative Visual Arts Teacher, ideally with an strong understanding of the MYP;
• able to contribute to a close school community and work as part of a dynamic and hardworking team;
• flexible, resilient, and open to new ideas;
• fluent in spoken and written English;
• an inspirational teacher, who can stimulate students’ learning skills;
• able to cater for students with many different social, emotional, and educational needs, from a variety of different cultural backgrounds and countries.
