OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Islamic High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. This position requires effective communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching students in grades 9-12.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
  • Classroom experience is essential; prior experience working with high school students is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of subject matter in English, Math, Spanish, French, or Special Education.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong organizational skills are required.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer skills with experience using educational technology tools is necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the needs of all students.
  • Teach subjects such as English, Arts, Humanities (History, Geography etc).
  • Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra assistance.
  • Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and projects; provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning of students with disabilities and diverse backgrounds.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share resources.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding academic progress and behavioral issues.
  • Utilize technology effectively in the classroom, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other educational software.
