JOB SUMMARY

We are excited to offer a new opportunity at Fireclay Health for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in a supportive administrative role. This position is designed to assist our secretarial team with a range of basic administrative tasks, helping to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Fireclay Health is a vibrant, dynamic and happy place to work. We provide health care from our two established practices at St George Health Centre and Lodgeside Surgery, although this role will be based at our Lodgeside Surgery site.
This role provides a fantastic introduction to the secretarial and administrative functions within a busy GP Practice. With time and confidence, there is the potential for the successful applicant to take on more complex secretarial responsibilities.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring that the patient referral journey is as smooth and efficient as possible, contributing to high standards of patient care and service delivery.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently complete and process managed referrals on behalf of clinicians, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to basic referral queries from both staff and patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients via email, text, and phone to provide updates and information as needed.
  • Liaise with third parties on behalf of GPs and the secretarial team to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Accurately complete simple referrals and forms, supporting GPs and administrative teams.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the organisation’s daily functions.
  • Consistently adhere to organisational policies and protocols as outlined in the Staff Handbook and employment contract.
