Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Operating of key machinery (Bench System/Furora) to ensure harvesting process is completed in the most efficient, safe and productive manner.
  • Proactively dealing with challenges and issues as they arise (inc. health and safety, quality and HR).
  • Monitoring the performance of the operation on a regular basis – ensuring appropriate action is taken if progress is behind plan.
  • Responsible for correct and efficient harvesting of flowers within the operation and checking accuracy of staff in cropping to instructed specification.
  • Appropriate escalation of issues relating to pest control and disease.
  • Ensure the team clearly understand the quality standards required by customers (as outlined in Quality guidelines) and that corrective action including training is provided by standard fall below requirements.
  • Ensure that the team operate to appropriate levels of health and safety and systems of work and provide coaching and training where standards fall short of expectations.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping at all times.
  • Undertake other duties as required, including to cover annual leave, which may include operating Forklift and undertaking tasks associated with growing and efficient running of the glasshouse/other production areas
