Job Description Note: The role is based in Hong Kong and visa sponsorship can be provided Position Overview Third Bridge's Forum division delivers investment research to its global institutional investor client base, including managers investing across public equities, fixed income, private equity, real assets, and other alternatives. The Sector Analyst team within Forum is responsible for uncovering actionable insight through in-depth conversations with senior executives and industry specialists, driving sector and regional coverage strategy, and engaging with clients to showcase the value of our research. We are looking for a motivated analyst to join our team in Hong Kong, which is responsible for driving research coverage across Asia Pacific ex-China. In this role you will be expected to: Produce in-depth research coverage on publicly-traded companies across Australia & New Zealand, Korea, and ASEAN, with additional ad-hoc private market transactions and other-region coverage Generate actionable investment ideas, perform initial due diligence and prepare detailed questions lists, and then go deeper into the subject matter by hosting interviews on those topics with industry experts and executives; Drive discussions with industry specialists, extracting value-added and actionable insight throughout your discussions; Engage with clients to present your research and foster relationships. Collaborate with our internal account management and sales teams to broaden your reach and build a brand for yourself; Build relationships with senior industry executives across your areas of coverage; do deep-dives on industries/companies, figure out where specialists have non-consensus views, and build out a pipeline of content A successful candidate will display these personal attributes: Intellectual Curiosity; deeply interested in understanding financial markets and company fundamentals, with the aim of building unique expertise in analysing businesses through the lens of unpacking them through conversations with experts. Strong Relationship Builder; ability to confidently interact with C-level executives and industry experts, proficient at working both independently and effectively with diverse teams with different perspectives and backgrounds. Strong Communicator; excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly logical and structured, and exceptional attention to detail. Results Driven; self-starter committed to digging deep into their coverage, a high degree of work ethic, and personal responsibility/ownership for the role. Entrepreneurial; a strong entrepreneurial drive and desire to help shape and develop the Forum product. Qualifications 1-3yrs experience in equity research, management consulting, or other investment research-related roles, having covered markets such as Australia/New Zealand, Korea, and ASEAN. Excellent/native command of spoken and written English, with knowledge of other Asian languages (e.g. Korean) advantageous. Demonstrable experience in conducting fundamental research, valuation / financial modelling, and articulating actionable investment theses/non-consensus views when pitching stocks Strong team orientation, highly collaborative with proven experience in driving outcomes through teamwork. Role is currently sector agnostic, with industry coverage dependent on candidate profile and experience.
