Job Description Due to continued growth in our Program Management Business Line, we are seeking an experienced Manager to join our ANZ team in a senior leadership capacity, based in either Brisbane or Sydney as a Sector Manager. How you’ll make a difference Support the execution of sector-specific strategies and drive profitable growth through effective client engagement and market differentiation. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders. Oversee recruitment, development, and succession planning for your team, including workshare across the sector Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment, empowering team members to take ownership and encouraging professional development. Ensure delivery excellence across all projects by maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Implement digital and AI initiatives within the sector and uphold project governance and delegation of authority requirements Actively participate in technical and project management roles, including GNGs, project risk reviews, and governance reviews. Champion a Quality Mindset and ensure the consistent application of AECOM's policies and procedures. Qualifications The qualities that help you thrive The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS) are an advantage. Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and technical delivery within the engineering or construction industry. Experience in client engagement, work winning, market positioning, and delivery excellence Proven track record of leading teams and managing large-scale projects, particularly in the relevant sector (e.g., infrastructure, roads, or highways). Strong leadership and team development skills, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Excellent client engagement abilities, with a demonstrated history of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Proficient in project governance and risk management, with experience in implementing approval processes. Knowledge of digital initiatives and their application within the engineering sector. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate organizational change. A commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
