The Securities Services Operations Associate is a part of the Trust Operations team that assists in the safekeeping and valuation for securities in our Asset Servicing department. Within the Asset Servicing and Trust Operations environment, you will facilitate transfers and complete valuations for physical and unique asset classes.
You will be responsible for the book value of unique assets and the transfer and safekeeping of physical certificates. This position also assists clients or internal partners with any questions and issues they may face while creating an unparalleled client experience. You will also be cross trained amongst other team member responsibilities for team backup when needed. You can expect a fast-paced environment with unpredictable scenarios while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to client needs. Our Securities Services Operations Associates are motivated to be self-driven and enjoy the challenge of learning new skills while controlling the progression of their career.
Securities Services Operations Associates each have a specific and impactful function for our clients and UMB to ensure accurate process requests. The Trust Operations team are subject matter experts that assist to reconcile, transfer, and value securities for clients.
The Trust Operations team is about creating strong connections amongst its associates to develop and maintain a positive working experience. You are valued for who you are in a fun, professional setting. It is a smaller team that works closely together to ensure everyone is successful. Associates are supported and encouraged to work with their manager to develop roadmaps for opportunity within Operations and beyond.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • You will use problem solving skills to determine what action needs to be taken to ensure proper safekeeping and valuation of assets.
  • You will need strong communication skills to make a positive client experience.
  • You will need to have strong attention to detail to ensure proper valuation of assets.
  • You will perform a variety of processing, data entry, moderately complex financial calculations, and clerical duties related to securities and cash transactions for investors.

Compensation Range:
$29,530.00 - $56,950.00
