ABOUT US:

Sentry Force Security is a trusted provider of professional security services, known for delivering effective, responsive, and client-centered solutions. We are currently seeking a Security Account Manager to oversee an account in the Norfolk region, ensuring exceptional operational performance and compliance.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Account Manager will lead the daily operations of multiple armed client sites across the region. This position requires strong leadership, accountability, and a results-driven mindset. The successful candidate will be responsible for staffing, scheduling, quality control, and client satisfaction—while maintaining non-billable overtime (NBOT) under 5%.

  • Direct oversight of armed officers across multiple sites
  • Maintain full staffing levels; proactively recruit, screen, and onboard officers
  • Manage weekly schedules and resolve coverage gaps while minimizing NBOT
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with contract-specific requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications and concerns
  • Implement and monitor officer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Ensure training standards are met and all officers remain qualified and credentialed
  • Utilize company platforms for timekeeping, reporting, and compliance tracking
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and operational disruptions
  • Strong communication and writing skills

This position is full time with a work schedule of Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm. However, due to the nature of this position, there will likely be times when work will need to be done remotely after normal working hours. Candidates must be available to be on call and available outside of normal business hours including weekends. Candidates MUST have their own reliable transportation.
Successful candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years of managerial experience in the security management field. Candidates with a DCJS security license (armed and / or unarmed) are strongly preferred, but not required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–3 years of experience in security management or related field required
  • Prior experience managing armed contracts or law enforcement/ preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in staff scheduling, hiring, and performance management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proficient with scheduling platforms, timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess or be able to obtain all required state security certifications and firearms credentials
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Strong communication and writing skills
