Description
Implements the regional security strategy; leads cross-functional and cross-business unit projects; communicates plans, strategy, and execution at all levels; identifies and prioritizes focus and programs. Manages the development and implementation of security programs; develops and implements related corporate policies and procedures; provides technical expertise to business units in developing and implementing security plans; develops integrated security solutions. Manages activities and budgets to annual operating plan. Develops and leads teams to assess needs, implement, and integrate security programs; leads education and cultural awareness training for the specific functional area council and working group; monitors internal and external controls; executes pilot programs to address critical requirements. Leads security for events impacting Cummins entities, employees, and corporate activities; serves as subject matter expert to the business units and Cummins corporate entities; coordinates with business unit personnel responsible for security to implement new corporate policies and initiatives. Liaises with local, state, and federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies; manages and coordinates with vendors, partner, and consultants to develop and manage security intelligence and programs; manages vendor contracts; identifies potential security partners based on knowledge of the market. Maintains a strong understanding of best practice security systems and tools; identifies, analyzes and reacts to global security trends and issues in security technology. Develops methods for testing and reviewing security systems; develops audit and review schedules; incorporates audit and review processes into corporate policy. Monitors key performance indicators and cross-functional reporting metrics for benchmarking and measurement; presents results and recommendations to leadership. Communicates with key stakeholders and functional leaders for the program. Recruits, selects, develops, manages, motivates, coaches, and mentors managers and staff; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates works assignments considering employee skills and development needs.
